Lark hadde like mye innvendig plass som en fullsize bil, og man kunne f\u00e5 den med V8-motor &#8211; men den var kortere og mer kompakt bygget enn samtidens amerikanske modeller. Den hadde klasse som en finere europeisk bil &#8211; som Lancia, Rover og Mercedes-Benz. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Motorisering<\/h3>\n<p>Biler med 6-sylindrede motorer ble kalt Lark VI (6), mens biler med V8 ble kalt Lark VIII (8). Rekkesekseren var fra starten en flathead L-topp, men fra modell\u00e5r 1961 fikk Lark en oppgradert motor med OHV. V8-alternativet ble ogs\u00e5 oppdatert i 1961  fra en 259 V8-motor til en sterkere 289 kubikktommers motor som man ogs\u00e5 kunne f\u00e5 med supercharger (R2 V8).<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Modellhistorikk<\/h3>\n<p>Modellen ble produsert som 4- og 2-d\u00f8rer sedan, kabriolet og som stasjonsvogn, kalt Wagonaire. Produksjonen i South Bend, Indiana, p\u00e5gikk fra modellens start til Studebaker-fabrikken ble lagt ned ved utgangen av 1963. Deretter fortsatte produksjonen i Ontario, Kanada, da under navn som Studebaker <em>Daytona<\/em> og <em>Commander<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_67212\" Det er ikke ofte man f\u00e5r se dem p\u00e5 veien. Bilen p\u00e5 bildene her er tatt av Jonny Bun\u00e6s ved Lervik i \u00d8stfold.
