BX hadde noe som samtidige konkurrenter &#8211; Ford Sierra og Opel Vectra &#8211; manglet. Den var <em>spesiell<\/em>. Den har et spesielt design og spesielle tekniske l\u00f8sninger. BX&#8217;ens etterf\u00f8lger, Citroen Xantia, f\u00f8lger p\u00e5 mange m\u00e5ter i samme spor som sin forgjenger, &#8211; men er kanskje ikke like spesiell med hensyn til <em>design<\/em>. Innvendig synes ikke Xantia \u00e5 skille seg s\u00e5 mye ut fra samtidens modeller.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Aktiv fj\u00e6ring<\/h3>\n<p>Alle Xantia&#8217;er kom med <em>Hydramatic H2<\/em>. Det er elektronisk styrt og fantes i flere av samtidens biler, blant annet i XM. Xantia var imidlertid f\u00f8rste vanlige serieproduserte bil som tilb\u00f8d &laquo;aktiv fj\u00e6ring&raquo;. Det er et system som utnytter Hydramatic-systemet til \u00e5 styre hydrauliske krengningsstabilisatorer ved hjelp av en computer. Det gj\u00f8r bilen spesielt egnet til \u00e5 foreta unnaman\u00f8vrer &#8211; og gir en helt spesiell kj\u00f8reopplevelse. Det var kun biler med utstyrsgrad &laquo;Activa&raquo; som hadde dette systemet. Active Suspension ble lovprist av bilpressen. P\u00e5 franskmennenes &laquo;Finn.no&raquo; (leboncoin.fr) ligger det for tiden nesten 800 Xantia&#8217;er ute til salgs. Halvparten er i alright stand uten synlig rust. For mellom 10 000-30 000 kan du kj\u00f8pe en flott Citroen Xantia 1,8i 16V (110 HK) eller 2,0 HDI (109 HK) &#8211; og kj\u00f8re hjem med den. Da f\u00e5r du en Mondeo-sized familiebil med elektronisk styrt Hydramatic system H2 og &#8211; i utstyrsvariant Activa &#8211; f\u00e5r du Citroens Active Suspension. Flere biler har lav km-stand &#8211; og er priset h\u00f8yt &#8211; kanskje for \u00e5 fange interessen til samlere. En dr\u00f8y andel har PSA-gruppens 3,0-liters V6-motor p\u00e5 190 HK og skinnseter. Mange av dem ser bra ut og har fulgt serviceprogrammene sine. V6-motoren er ikke mitt f\u00f8rstevalg for Xantia. Det finnes flere eksemplarer av Xantia med 2,0 TCT &#8211; turbomotor som yter 147 HK &#8211; fremdeles i brukbar stand. Av dagens utvalg ser 1,8 liters-motorene ut til \u00e5 ha hatt st\u00f8rst utbredelse, men ingen med Active Suspension. Av biler som er til salgs, ser det ut som om Activa-utgaven hovedsakelig ble levert med de st\u00f8rste motorene, som 2,0i, 2,0 TCT og 3,0 V6. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Facelift<\/h3>\n<p>1998-modellen fikk en facelift. De st\u00f8rste visuelle endringene er i fronten, &#8211; nye, mer avrundede frontlykter og ny grill. Det ble ogs\u00e5 gjort et par endringer p\u00e5 dashbordet, &#8211; blant annet forsvant gripeh\u00e5ndtaket p\u00e5 passasjersidens del av dashbordet. 2,0 HDI (109 HK) ble introdusert da. er en sen modell som tilh\u00f8rer en lokal taxisj\u00e5f\u00f8r i C\u00e9ret, Frankrike. Den beige bilen er ogs\u00e5 fotografert i C\u00e9ret, en parkeringsplass i sentrum. Bilen er en pre facelift. Det er ogs\u00e5 den s\u00f8lvfargede bilen som er fotografert i Perpignan. Den viser hvilken fin tilstand mange av Xantia&#8217;ene nede i Syd-Frankrike befinner seg i. Bilen med V6 er hentet fra en auksjon fra Citroen-museet utenfor Paris &#8211; og er et salgsbilde tatt av auksjonshuset. Den bl\u00e5svarte bilen er tatt utenfor et bruktbilfirma p\u00e5 Billingstad utenfor Oslo.
