Selskapet produserte biler i et h\u00f8yere prissjikt enn Fiat &#8211; og gjennom \u00e5rene innf\u00f8rte de flere nyvinninger som ble tatt opp av andre bilprodusenter. I 1969 ble Lancia overtatt av Fiat for \u00e5 redde selskapet fra massive tap. I etterf\u00f8lgende hevdet Lancia seg innen rallysport med sine modeller Delta Integrale og Stratos. Her hjemme ble Lancia kjent for sitt korte samarbeid med Saab som blant annet resulterte i Saab 9000.
