Skinnsetene var hele men krakelerte. De var overraskende gode \u00e5 sitte i. Selve sitteposisjonen er en tanke spesiell. Man sitter p\u00e5 en ganske lav sittepute, bena nesten vannrett og et godt grep p\u00e5 det store rattet som st\u00e5r nesten loddrett. Da jeg s\u00e5 meg rundt, fikk jeg en f\u00f8lelse av \u00e5 v\u00e6re omsluttet av en bil som kun var konstruert rundt f\u00f8reren. Den ble levert som Fixed Head Coup\u00e9 (FHC), Drophead Coup\u00e9 (DHC) og som Roadster. Bilene ble utstyrt med Jaguar&#8217;s 3,4 liter rekkesekser og fra modell\u00e5r 1960 kunne man f\u00e5 den med 3,8 liters motor &#8211; som ble videref\u00f8rt til E-Type. Alle motorene hadde doble eller triple SU-forgassere. Basismotoren, 3,4 liter med doble SU-forgassere, ga 190 HK.
