Triumph TR4 etterfulgte TR3A. Den uslitelige Standard-motoren hadde f\u00e5tt \u00f8kt slagvolum til 2,138 liter som ga 105 HK. Bilen var ny og bredere med et flott italiensk design, tannstangstyring og fullsynkronisert girkasse. En forh\u00f8yning p\u00e5 h\u00f8yre side av panseret skjulte doble SU-forgassere. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">TR4A med IRS<\/h3>\n<p>I 1965 ble TR4 etterfulgt av TR4A. Den hadde samme motor som TR4, men fikk blant annet ny grill, endringer i chrome og det st\u00e5ende h\u00e5ndbrekket ble flyttet mellom setene. Den riktig store nyheten var at at TR4A kunne leveres med uavhengig bakhjulsoppheng. Det var tilvalg. Kundene kunne velge mellom forgjengerens stive bakakseloppheng eller det nye. Biler med uavhengig oppheng fikk bokstavene &laquo;IRS&raquo; (Independent Rear Suspension) bak. Det var en bil ingen kunne kj\u00f8re fra. I 2019 ble en 1962 Triumph TR4, tidligere hadde tjenestegjort ved poilitkammeret i Southen-on-Sea, solgt for 33 000 britiske pund. TR4 n\u00e5dde 60 miles\/timen p\u00e5 10,9 sekunder og hadde en toppfart p\u00e5 nesten 180 km\/t. <\/p>\n<p><a
