Den f\u00f8rste modellserien s\u00e5 dagens lys som en kompaktmodell til tross for at bilene var nesten 5 meter lange og kun levert med V8-motor.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Preget av jetalderen<\/h3>\n<p>F-85 ble utviklet p\u00e5 slutten av 50-tallet, da jetflyene begynte \u00e5 ta over flytrafikken. Jeg vet ikke hva F-85 st\u00e5r for, men det gir assosiasjoner til en jetflymodell. Standard motorisering var 215 V8 (3.5 liter) med 185 HK. P\u00e5 luftfilterdekselet over V8-motoren sto det skrevet &laquo;Rockette&raquo;. Det var samme 3.5-liters aluminiumsmotor som senere skulle dukke opp hos Rover og Range Rover. Bilen p\u00e5 bildene er 4 d\u00f8rer sedan. Fra produksjonsstart kunne man ogs\u00e5 f\u00e5 F-85 som 5 d\u00f8rer stasjonsvogn, senere ogs\u00e5 som 2-d\u00f8rer med stolpe. Jeg har sett flere av dem her &#8211; ogs\u00e5 p\u00e5 veien, og antar at Oldsmobile m\u00e5 ha hatt en viss popularitet tidlig p\u00e5 60-tallet. Hovedbildet er tatt i p\u00e5 et biltreff i Perpignan. Den dukker ofte opp der. Bilen med ekstra st\u00f8tfangerhorn har jeg sett p\u00e5 stranden ved Argeles-sur-Mer i anledning \u00e5rlige Amerika-festene &laquo;F\u00eate Am\u00e9ricaine&raquo;. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Se ogs\u00e5<\/h3>\n<p>Reklamefilmen under viser hvor rommelig bilen er. Den kan romme 6 fullvoksne karer &#8211; alle med hatt. Modellen kunne leveres enten med benkesete eller separate stoler foran. Det er ogs\u00e5 interessant \u00e5 se bilen i bevegelse. Man kan se hvordan den krenger i svingene og duver over humpene.
