Det er alts\u00e5 mye som skiller modellene fra 1958 til 1967, men hva de har felles, er hel bakrute og frontlys med glass som er formet etter framskjermene &#8211; alts\u00e5 ikke de mer st\u00e5ende lyktene som kom i 1967 \u00e5rsmodellen. Andre kjennemerker som skiller modeller f\u00f8r og etter 1967 er skiltlys-hetten over motordekselet bak. Biler fra \u00e5rsmodell 1965 fikk st\u00f8rre vinduer rundt om. Standard for bilene fra 1958 til 1967 var Volkswagens 1200-motor. Den ga 30 til 34 HK avhengig av \u00e5rsmodell.
