Samme akselavstand, uavhengig fj\u00e6ring og skivebremser p\u00e5 all hjul, &#8211; og karosseriet laget av glassfiber p\u00e5 st\u00e5lr\u00f8rsramme. I likhet med forgjengerne var designet futuristisk. Faktisk s\u00e5 futuristisk at det ble produsert i hele 14 \u00e5r, fra 1968 til 1982, med flere kosmetiske og tekniske modifikasjoner underveis. En av de mest synlige utvendige endringene, er skjulte st\u00f8tfangere som kom i 1973 (foran) og 1974 (bak). Small-Block 327 ble erstattet med 350 etter vel et \u00e5r, og big-block 427 ble erstattet med 454 fra 1970. 2-trinnskassa ble aldri med p\u00e5 nye C3&#8217;s tilvalgsliste. Power-glide&#8217;n ble erstattet med 3-trinns automat og senere med 4-trinns. C3 ble produsert med V8&#8217;ere under hele oljekrisen p\u00e5 70-tallet uten fallende salgstall. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Varianter<\/h3>\n<p>Det ble laget tre karosserivarianter &#8211; Coupe, Convertible og T-Top. Biler med T-Top ble utstyrt med to avtagbare takpaneler. Fra 1978 kunne man f\u00e5 disse i glass.
