Understell med lang fj\u00e6ringsvei samt et litt &laquo;spr\u00f8tt&raquo; design p\u00e5 bil, instrumentbord og innredning skulle f\u00e5 gamle Citroen-kunder til \u00e5 f\u00f8le seg hjemme. De f\u00f8rste bilene hadde til og med samme motor som 2CV6 &#8211;  langstilt, 2-sylindret, luftavkj\u00f8lt boksermotor p\u00e5 652 ccm. Senere fikk de tverrstilte, fire-sylindrede vannavkj\u00f8lte rekkefirere. Man kan jo si at disse motorene ble en stor forbedring for Visa, men i ettertid er det 2CV-motorene som er mest ettertraktet p\u00e5 &laquo;hobby&raquo;-markedet. Men for Citroen ble Visa en modell som tok 2CV-linjen over til en ny generasjon. Det ble ogs\u00e5 den siste modell med i arven etter 2CV. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">S\u00f8stermodell til Peugeot 104<\/h3>\n<p>Ogs\u00e5 Peugeot 104 ble tilbudt med 2CV-drivverk da <em>den<\/em> ble lansert. Til tross for at Visa og 104 hadde hver sin &laquo;personlighet&raquo;, var de s\u00f8stermodeller og delte drivverk og plattform. Peugeot 104 ble en forl\u00f8per til det vi i dag kaller B-klassen, hvor vi finner modeller som Ford Fiesta og Volkswagen Polo. Citroen Visa er kun marginalt st\u00f8rre enn Peugeot 104, skj\u00f8nt den fremst\u00e5r som en bil i Golf-klassen. Den nye modellen ble kalt Visa II. Det var spesielt fronten som ble omarbeidet s\u00e5nn at den s\u00e5 ut som &laquo;vanlige&raquo; biler. Serie 1 hadde en liten grill som kanskje var ment om en videref\u00f8ring av grillen i 2CV&#8217;en, men som ble sammenlignet med et grisetryne. I 1985 kom enda en facelift. I 1988 stanset produksjonen. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Motorisering<\/h3>\n<p>Det ble kun levert vannavkj\u00f8lte, 4-sylindrede motorer til Norge. De fleste bilene ble levert med 1,1 liters motor p\u00e5 50 HK (RE) og 60 HK (Super E). Det ble ogs\u00e5 levert biler med 1,4 liters motor p\u00e5 60 HK (14 RE) og 79 HK (GT). Det ble ogs\u00e5 laget en GTI med 1,6 liters motor f\u00f8rst p\u00e5 105 HK, senere 115 HK &#8211; samme motorer som satt i Peugeot 205 GTI. Visa ble ogs\u00e5 levert med diesel, men de ble ikke tatt inn til Norge gjennom den ordin\u00e6re importen.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_14387\" Betegnelsen 15 kommer av at bilen fyller en fransk vektklasse for nyttekj\u00f8ret\u00f8y p\u00e5 1,5 tonn. C15 kunne f\u00e5s med b\u00e5de bensin og diselmotor, men det er diesel som dominerer i dag &#8211; for dette er nemlig biler man ser over alt i Frankrike. Suksessen kan forklares med driftssikker motor, enkel mekanikk og at man kan f\u00e5 fikset bilene &laquo;over alt&raquo;. For franskmenn er C15 en sparegris p\u00e5 hjul.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Modellhistorikk<\/h3>\n<p>C15 ble produsert fra 1984 til 2006 &#8211; alts\u00e5 8 \u00e5r etter at produksjonen av Visa ble innstilt. Gjennom produksjons\u00e5rene fikk C15 to facelifts &#8211; p\u00e5 v\u00e5ren 1989 og i 1992 for 1993-modellen. Ved f\u00f8rste facelift ble blant annet grillen endret, og bilen fikk doble bakd\u00f8rer i stedet for en sidehengslet d\u00f8r. De aller fleste bilene fikk dieselmotorer &laquo;17D&raquo; og &laquo;17RD&raquo;. Felles for b\u00e5de Visa og C15 er at biler med diesel fikk skjermbreddere av plast.
