Selv i dag ser den brutalt r\u00e5 ut. Siden den ble bygget som en ekte racerbil falt fokuset p\u00e5 ytelser og veigrep &#8211; ikke komfort.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2_first\">Upraktisk<\/h3>\n<p>Sikten bakover, for eksempel, var ubrukelig. Rygging var ikke for hvem som helst. Man m\u00e5tte \u00e5pne saksed\u00f8ren (skr\u00e5tt oppover) og sette seg delvis ut p\u00e5 terskelen for \u00e5 kunne f\u00e5 et glimt av hva som befant seg bak bilen &#8211; samtidig som man betjente ratt og pedaler. Lamborghini laget en spesiell l\u00f8sning, kalt Periscopio, speil anrettet etter periskop-prinsippet som ga et lite utsyn bakover gjennom et lite vindu. LP500 S hadde 4.8 liters V12. LP5000 QV og &laquo;25th Anniversario&raquo; fikk ny topp med 4 ventiler pr sylinder. Alle utgavene var utstyrt med naturlig aspirerte motorer. Det ble gjort fors\u00f8k p\u00e5 \u00e5 lage en 3.9-liter med turbo, men det lyktes ikke. Den gamle gr\u00fcnderen <em>Ferruccio Lamborghini<\/em> solgte firmaet sitt i 1972 &#8211; to \u00e5r f\u00f8r produksjonen av Countach startet. I 1978 gikk Lamborghini konkurs og ble satt under administrasjon og styrt av br\u00f8drene <em>Jean-Claude og Patrick Mimran<\/em> frem til Chrysler kj\u00f8pte selskapet i 1987. Den f\u00f8rste Lamborghini under Chrysler ble Diablo. Countach ble videreutviklet og produsert under Mimran-br\u00f8drene, &#8211; og anses i ettertid som et vellykket prosjekt.
