Foruten Austin Healey finner man navnet igjen i Nash-Healey og Jensen-Healey. Donald Healey Motor Company ble stiftet like etter krigen og lagde eksklusive sportsbiler &#8211; biler som sikkert er verdt en formue i dag. Det var fra dette firmaet samarbeidet mellom Austin-divisjonen i BMC og Healey startet. Austin-Healey ble stiftet i 1952 for \u00e5 produsere sportsbiler. Det ble laget to modellserier, den ene kalt <em>Big Healey<\/em> basert p\u00e5 3 modeller, Austin-Healey 100, 100-6 og 3000. Den lille Healey&#8217;en var <em>Sprite<\/em> som ogs\u00e5 gikk under tilnavnet <em>Frogeye<\/em>. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Big Healey<\/h3>\n<p>Utviklingen av den nye sportsbilen var basert p\u00e5 Austins prestisjemodell A90 Atlantic. Det resulterte i Austin-Healey 100 fra 1953. Fra 1956 fikk modellen \u00f8kt akselavstand, 6-sylindret motor og luftinntak p\u00e5 panseret. Motoren var hentet fra storbilen <em>Austin Westminster<\/em> &#8211; en motor som vel egentlig var utviklet av Morris. Fra 1959 kom den modellen som har h\u00f8stet st\u00f8rst anerkjennelse &#8211; Austin-Healey 3000. Den ble produsert i tre serier &#8211; alle med samme motor, en 3-liter rekkesekser basert p\u00e5 2.6-liter motoren i 100-6. Modellen fikk ogs\u00e5 skivebremser foran. Utseendemessig lik sin forgjenger. Mk2 som kom i 1961, fikk endret ribbem\u00f8nsteret i grillen til st\u00e5ende ribber. Den fikk ogs\u00e5 en oppgradering av ytelse til 132 HK gjennom nye forgassere. Fra 1964 fikk mk3 \u00f8kt ytelse til 150 HK gjennom nye forgassere og spissere kamaksel. MkI hadde horisontale ribber, mens etterf\u00f8lgende serier fikk vertikale. Inntil h\u00f8sten 1962 hadde alle bilene v\u00e6rt ganske enkle roadstere. Fra \u00e5rsmodell 1963 kunne man f\u00e5 biler med ordentlig kalesje og sideruter. Sports Cabriolet er, foruten kalesjen, synlig ved sin svakt krummede frontrute omrammet av krom &#8211; ogs\u00e5 p\u00e5 oversiden. Et annet kjennetegn er at biler fra 1965 fikk blinklys foran separert fra park\/markeringslysene. Alle modeller kunne leveres enten som 2 seter eller 2+2 seter.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2ingreslbcenter\">Mark II<\/h3>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_32559\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32559\"
