Jeg tror n\u00e6rmeste konkurrent m\u00e5 ha v\u00e6rt Jeep Wagoneer. Jeep og Land Rover har jo hatt mange likhetstrekk, men Jeep Wagoneer ble sannsynligvis for <em>amerikansk<\/em> og dyr for europeerne. Den langt mer stilrene Range Rover ble p\u00e5 sin side ikke solgt i USA f\u00f8r 1987. Skulle man peke ut en utfordrer til den f\u00f8rste generasjon av Range Rover m\u00e5 det v\u00e6re Mercedes-Benz Gel\u00e4ndewagen som dukket opp f\u00f8rst i 1979.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Modelloppf\u00f8lging<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>1970 Lansering med 3,5 V8 &#8211; motoren Land Rover kj\u00f8pte av Chrysler i 1967 &#8211; som ble introdusert i Rover P6.<\/li>\n<li>1981 Range Rover deltok i en photo shoot for damebladet Vogue. Tar vi med alle biler i bilregisteret &#8211; ogs\u00e5 de uten skilter &#8211; er tallet 906. Det st\u00e5r sannsynligvis mange biler rundt omkring i d\u00e5rlig forfatning. P\u00e5 Finn.no ligger det 3 til salgs til under 50 000 &#8211; og tilsvarende tilstand. Sitter du p\u00e5 en tidlig Ranger Rover, kan det hende du sitter p\u00e5 en gullgruve. Den gule bilen p\u00e5 hovedbildet er for \u00f8yeblikket til salgs for 149 000 GBP i London. Jeg tror interessen for originale, tidlige Range Rover er stigende &#8211; kanskje mer i Europa enn i Norge. P\u00e5 mobile.de ligger det 99 biler til salgs. Den dyreste til 1,6 mill kroner, &#8211; den nest dyreste 1,4 mill. R\u00f8ft regnet, fordeler bilprisene seg i f\u00f8lgende like store fjerdedeler (i kroner): Over 400&#8242;, 200-400&#8242;, 100-200&#8242; og under 100&#8242;. Vel rustet bilene lett i overgangene mellom aluminum og st\u00e5l &#8211; og ikke vet jeg hvordan innspr\u00f8ytningssystemet fra Lucas har fungert? Det <em>kan<\/em> v\u00e6re l\u00f8nnsomt \u00e5 beholde en gammel Range Rover &#8211; enten i t\u00f8rr oppbevaring eller full restaurering. Kommer Europa til \u00e5 tr\u00e5le Skandinavia for tidlige Range Rovere p\u00e5 samme m\u00e5te som de henter ut gamle folkevognbusser?<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Ny eller gammel?<\/h3>\n<p>En restaurert Range Rover kan koste like mye som en ny &#8211; eller relativt ny. Nye Range Rover er en bra bil, &#8211; men f\u00e5 hever \u00f8yebrynene n\u00e5r de ser en. Store firehjulstrekkere er blitt allemannseie i hele den vestlige verden.
