Den nye Consul og Granada skulle ikke bare erstatte M-modellene, men ogs\u00e5 engelske Zephyr og Zodiac. De nye modellene ble satt i produksjon b\u00e5de i England og i Tyskland. Norge fikk biler fra K\u00f6ln. Jeg har ingen anelse om kvaliteten p\u00e5 de <em>engelske<\/em> bilene. Siden Ford England fortsatte \u00e5 bruke Lucas som underleverand\u00f8r til elektriske komponenter, opplevde sannsynligvis kundene flere problemer enn i tilsvarende tyskbygde biler &#8211; som benyttet Bosch. Det var utstyrsdetaljer, grill, innvendige trekk og chrome. I begynnelsen kunne man velge en 2-d\u00f8rs coupe som innstegsmodell, en 4-d\u00f8rs sedan og 5-d\u00f8rs stasjonsvogn. Fra 1974 kunne man f\u00e5 vanlig 2-d\u00f8rs sedan ogs\u00e5, samtidig som coupeen fikk en liten facelift. De mistet Cola-profilen. Det bakre sidevinduet ble lagt i flukt med det fremre sidevinduet. Mk1 Consul\/Granada ble erstattet av Granada mk2 for modell\u00e5ret 1978. Da forsvant ogs\u00e5 modellnavnet Consul. Den vakreste modellen? For mitt vedkommende er det Granada 2-d\u00f8rer coupe med cola-fasongen.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Motorer<\/h3>\n<p>Motoriseringen av Consul\/Granada bygget p\u00e5 M-seriens motorprogram. Det begynte p\u00e5 de gode gamle 1,7 liters V4 og 2-liters V6 p\u00e5 90 HK. De fleste modellene i Norge fikk en ny 2-liters rekkefirer p\u00e5 101 HK. I tillegg kunne man f\u00e5 2,3 V6 og 2,8 V6.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25514\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25514\" style=\"width: 1080px\" class=\"wp-caption Basert p\u00e5 registreringsnummeret er bilen p\u00e5 bildet en av de aller f\u00f8rste Ford Consul her i landet, registrert tidlig i 1972 og levert med 1700 V4 motor fra Taunus-serien. Etter min mening er disse f\u00f8rste bilene med Colaflaske-fasong de vakreste av alle Consul\/Granada\u2019er. De er ogs\u00e5 sjeldne, spesielt med 17M-V4 motor.
