La oss bryte ned modellbetegnelsen. &laquo;28&raquo; betyr 2,8 liters slagvolum. &laquo;8&raquo; er antall sylindre. S\u00e5 kan man jo sp\u00f8rre seg om hva Ferrari skulle med 288 n\u00e5r de allerede hadde den utmerkede 308 &#8211; Magnum PI&#8217;s Ferrari for de som er gamle nok til \u00e5 huske TV-serien. Hvorfor trenger man mindre motor? For \u00e5 skape en rimeligere Ferrari? Det <em>kan<\/em> ha v\u00e6rt en medvirkende \u00e5rsak, men hensikten med 288 GTO ligger i &laquo;O&raquo;-en. GTO betyr &laquo;Gran Turismo Omologato&raquo;, det vil si homologisering &#8211; kanskje for \u00e5 komme inn i en spesiell motorklasse for racing? Uansett er motorvolumet n\u00e6rmere 2,9 liter enn 2,8 &#8211; og leverer brukbare 400 HK og et dreiemoment p\u00e5 496 Nm &#8211; mer enn Magnum PI hadde i sin 308. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Produksjonen stanset da racing klassen ble nedlagt<\/h3>\n<p>Ferrari 288 kom aldri inn i racing, da klassen den skulle n\u00e5, ble nedlagt. Kun 272 biler ble produsert, noe som gj\u00f8r 288 GTO til en meget sjelden og bevaringsverdig bil. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.danjedlicka.com\/classic_cars\/ferrari_288_gto.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Kilde<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Om bildet<\/h3>\n<p>Bildet er tatt p\u00e5 London Concours 1989. Jeg trodde f\u00f8rst at det var en 308 GTB, men oppdaget at den var en del omarbeidet.
