Helt frem til nylig har det v\u00e6rt mulig \u00e5 se likhetstrekk helt tilbake til den f\u00f8rste XJ. S\u00e5nn er det ogs\u00e5 med X300 produsert for modell\u00e5rene 1994 til og med 1997. Dette er etter at Ford overtok Jaguar. Det er sv\u00e6rt vanskelig \u00e5 se de visuelle forskjellene mellom X300 og X308 uten \u00e5 studere bilene sammen. Den st\u00f8rste endringen sitter under panseret. X308 fikk Jaguars nye 4,0 V8 motor som ble utviklet p\u00e5 et tidspunkt da Ford var i ferd med \u00e5 kj\u00f8pe seg inn i selskapet. Det er derfor n\u00e6rliggende \u00e5 forestille seg at merkets f\u00f8rste egenutviklede V8 stammer fra Fords motorprogram. Men AJ-V8 er signert Jaguar. Opprinnelig var det planlagt \u00e5 bygge 3 forskjellige varianter av motoren, V12, V8 og V6 \u2013 men endte opp med \u00e9n variant, nemlig 4,0 liters V8 st\u00f8pt i aluminium. Akkurat den beslutningen var nok Ford med p\u00e5 \u00e5 ta.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Se opp for f\u00f8lgende<\/h3>\n<p>V\u00e6r oppmerksom p\u00e5 at biler frem til og med 1999-modeller hadde Nikasil-behandlede sylinderf\u00f4ringer, som brukes i racing-motorer. Nikasil gir \u00f8kt styrke og mindre friksjon enn spesialst\u00e5l, men de t\u00e5ler d\u00e5rlig svovelholdig bensin. Det sliter p\u00e5 materialet i sylinderveggene. Fra \u00e5rsmodell 2000 gikk Jaguar over til st\u00e5lf\u00f4ringer. Problemet med Nikasil er alts\u00e5 kun knyttet til biler produsert frem til \u00e5rsmodell 2000 &#8211; og som har g\u00e5tt med svovelholdig bensin. I Europa ble svovelinnholdet i bensinen sterkt redusert fra \u00e5r 2000. Mange motorer med Nikasil lever i beste velg\u00e5ende. I Jaguar-fora sies det at hvis motoren er OK n\u00e5, vil man neppe f\u00e5 problemer. Bensinen i dag inneholder nemlig sv\u00e6rt lite svovel.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJaguars V8-motorer har registerkjede hvor strammerne er utsatt for slitasje. De originale kjedestrammerne er av plastmateriale. Nyproduserte deler er laget i metall. Behov for oppgraderte kjedestrammere er en velkjent sak p\u00e5 disse motorene.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Om bildene<\/h3>\n<p>Den gr\u00f8nne X300 er fotografert p\u00e5 ved Oksen\u00f8ya. Den sorte X308 er fotografert ved det gamle flyt\u00e5rnet p\u00e5 Fornebu. Det er en Jaguar XJR.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Som hobbybil<\/h3>\n<p>Da jeg fikk kj\u00f8re en ganske ny <a href=\"https:\/\/terjebjornstad.com\/no\/jaguar-xjs\/\"><strong>Jaguar XJS<\/strong><\/a>, tenkte jeg at dette er en bil man m\u00e5 kj\u00f8re med forsiktighet. Det er ingen macho-bil hvor man river og sliter s\u00e5 det lukter brent gummi. Man skal kj\u00f8re sin Jaguar som en Gentleman. Det er av ekstremt stor betydning for hvordan en Jaguar skal holde. P\u00e5 tyske bruktbil-nett ligger X300 ute til salgs mellom 2.000 til 15.000 euro med km-stand mellom 100.000 og 300.000. Motorst\u00f8rrelse ser ikke ut til \u00e5 spille noen rolle. Taktrekket har l\u00f8snet &#8211; noe som har skjedd med flere likedanne modeller. 3,2 liter rekkesekser, 211 HK, 129.000 km &#8211; 11.200 euro + mva p\u00e5 bilpris og ev. frakt + vrakpant.
