Sierra&#8217;en jeg kj\u00f8rte, hadde litt bredere hjuldimensjon enn originalt, noe som gjorde at bilen l\u00e5 godt p\u00e5 veien, men ble tung p\u00e5 styringen (ikke servo). I tillegg kom det mye dekkst\u00f8y inn i kup\u00e9en. 2-literen, som ogs\u00e5 gikk i Scorpio p\u00e5 samme tid, opplevde jeg som st\u00f8yende og sl\u00f8v (b\u00e5de i Sierra og i Scorpio) &#8211; i hvert fall sett med dagens \u00f8yne. Likevel var Sierra en alright langtursbil hvor det var mulig \u00e5 kj\u00f8re mange timer i strekk.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Modellhistorikk<\/h3>\n<p>Med sin s\u00e5pelignende profil, bidro Ford Sierra til \u00e5 forandre bildesignet for 80- og 90-\u00e5rene. Den kom i 1982 og holdt seg p\u00e5 markedet i over ti \u00e5r, inntil den ble erstattet av Mondeo i 1993. Modellen fikk 2 facelifter, den ene i 1985, den andre i 1987. Den f\u00f8rste faceliften var meget enkel, i det det stort sett var fronten som ble endret. Alle modellene fikk samme front som XR4i (se bildet under) hadde f\u00e5tt et par \u00e5r tidligere. 1987-faceliften var litt mer omfattende. Ogs\u00e5 den bar med seg ny grill, pluss nye motorer &#8211; og for f\u00f8rste gang siden Taunus\/Cortina, en konvensjonell 4-d\u00f8rs sedan.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Motorer<\/h3>\n<p>Motormessig ble blant annet f\u00f8lgende motorer levert: 1.3, 1.6, 1.8 , 2.0 og 2.0i, samt V6 2.3 og 2.8 &#8211; senere 2.9. En av de mest ettertraktede motorene i sin tid, var 2.0i med 115 HK.<\/p>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_34943\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-34943\"
