Gr\u00f8terud for saksopplysninger.<br \/>\nStein er styremedlem i Norsk Volvoklubb og eier b\u00e5de en Volvo 164 og en spesiell 162.<\/code><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Drivverk<\/h3>\n<p>Volvos B30-motor var en st\u00f8pejerns rekkesekser med samme boring, stempler, r\u00e5der, st\u00f8tstenger, vippearmer, ventiler, ventilfj\u00e6rer osv som sitter i Volvos B20-motor &#8211; men B30 fikk 2 sylindre i tillegg. Med to Zenith-Stromberg forgassere hadde den 130 hk DIN (145 hk SAE).<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nI 1972 kom Volvo med B30E som i utgangspunktet var samme motor som B30A, men endret p\u00e5 f\u00f8lgende viktige punkter: Kamdrev i st\u00e5l, h\u00f8yere kompresjon, forsterkede ventilfj\u00e6rer og D-jetronic innspr\u00f8ytning, og en annen tenningsfordeler. Volvo bremset B30E til 160 hk DIN (175 hk SAE).<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nSenere ble F-versjonen av B30 introdusert. B30F var i utgangspunktet en B30E med lavere kompresjon og forskjellige varianter av eksosrensing, som EGR system, og p\u00e5 noen markeder ogs\u00e5 katalysator. Hovedgrunnen til at Volvo laget F-versjonene av B30 var nye og strengere avgasskrav i blant annnet USA. Variantene med overdrive fikk typebetegnelse M410 i 164, og M41 i alle andre Volvoer. Automat-alternativet var en 3-trinns Borg Warner kasse.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Modelloppf\u00f8lgning<\/h3>\n<p>Produksjonen av Volvo 164 ble p\u00e5begynt i 1968 for modell\u00e5ret 1969 med sm\u00e5 og st\u00f8rre endringer hvert \u00e5r. Synlige endringer var innfelte d\u00f8rh\u00e5ndtak, st\u00f8rre st\u00f8tfangere og endret grill. De f\u00f8rste \u00e5rgangen(e) av 164 hadde hverken servostyring, aircondition eller skinnseter. Dette kom gradvis p\u00e5 de neste \u00e5rgangene, blant annet avhengig av markedet. Volvo 164 ble erstattet av 264 i 1975. Men i Amerika skjedde ikke dette f\u00f8r ett \u00e5r senere, p\u00e5 grunn av at Volvo m\u00e5tte f\u00e5 motoren i 264 B27 (PRV) til \u00e5 komme innenfor avgasskravene i USA.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br
