Hvis jeg ikke minnes feil, tok britiske CAR Magazine i bruk ord som &laquo;Fun To Drive&raquo;. Det var ikke ord man forbandt med Toyota. MR2 er bygget p\u00e5 et ekte sportsbilkonsept. F\u00f8rste av alt har den midtplassert motor, den har god motorisering &#8211; standard 1,6 liter som yter 125 HK. Videre er bilen relativt lett, stilig og n\u00f8ktern. Det er en bil laget for \u00e5 kj\u00f8res, &#8211; ikke frakte barn til barnehage eller frakte hageavfall til s\u00f8ppelfyllinga. Det mest synlig var hekkspoileren. MR2 mk1b ble produsert ut 1988 f\u00f8r mk2 dukket opp \u00e5ret etter. Ser du en MR2 mk1 sitter det sannsynligvis en 1,6 liters Corolla-motor der &#8211; i hvertfall i faceliftede modeller (AW11). Det er en 16-ventilers DOHC motor som yter 125 HK. Det skal ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6re laget en supercharged versjon av denne motoren som yter 145 HK. Fra fabrikken fikk disse bilene en &laquo;SUPERCHARGED&raquo; sticker p\u00e5 baklokket (venstre side). <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35659\"
