Selv har jeg kj\u00f8rt land og strand rundt med min fars s\u00f8lvgr\u00e5 1977-modell og noen turer med svigerfars r\u00f8de 1982-modell. Man kan ha forskjellige oppfatninger om Sixten Sasons italienskinspirerte design, men man fant seg alltid godt til rette inne i bilen. Feelgood med gode seter og et praktisk interi\u00f8r. Firmaet hadde ogs\u00e5 f\u00e5tt foresp\u00f8rsler fra Triumph, og s\u00e5 en gevinst i \u00e5 utvikle en felles motor. Resultatet ble <em>Triumph Slant Four<\/em> motoren &#8211; en rekkefirer p\u00e5 1.7 liter liggende i 45 grader. Det gjorde at den kunne f\u00e5 plass i biler med lavbygd front.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nTidlige Saab 99 modeller ble utstyrt med en 1.7 liter Triumph-motor p\u00e5 86 HK, senere oppgradert til 1.85 HK. Fra 1972 satte Saab inn sin egenproduserte 2.0 liter p\u00e5 100 HK eller 108 HK med 2 Stromberg forgassere. Den mer p\u00e5kostede EMS-utgaven fikk elektronisk innspr\u00f8ytning som ga 118 HK. Senere kom ogs\u00e5 en turboversjon. Saab 99 Turbo var den f\u00f8rste bil i nyere tid med turbo. I dag er nesten alle fossildrevne biler utstyrt med turbo.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nTriumph Slant Four fikk ogs\u00e5 et liv i Triumph Dolomite. V8-motorene i <a href=\"https:\/\/terjebjornstad.com\/triumph-stag\/\"><strong>Triumph Stag<\/strong><\/a> er for \u00f8vrig bygget opp av 2 Slant Four motorblokker.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<figure variant av 99-serien. Den hadde samme sikkerhetsutstyr som de dyrere modellene, men enklere utstyrt p\u00e5 andre omr\u00e5der. Blant annet hadde den samme forseter og nakkest\u00f8tter som den rimeligere 96-serien, uten setevarme og med gummimatter i stedet for tepper p\u00e5 gulvet. 99 L kunne kun leveres med 2 d\u00f8rer. Saab 99 GL kunne leveres med 4 d\u00f8rer og man kunne ogs\u00e5 f\u00e5 2-liters motoren med 2 forgassere.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_41269\" Det ble sagt for sp\u00f8k at Saab sparte penger ved \u00e5 kalle modellen for &laquo;90&raquo; for da kunne man bruke samme dekaler som 900 &#8211; bare klippe av siste &laquo;0&raquo;. Det som faktisk fulgte med fra Saab 900, var bakparten av sedanmodellen. Det skal ha blitt gjort for \u00e5 spare kostnader &#8211; men gjorde jo ogs\u00e5 bilen mer moderne. Drivverket var basert p\u00e5 Saab 99 med samme 2-liter motor. Modellen kom som \u00e5rsmodell 1985 og ble produsert ved den finske Valmet-fabrikken frem til og med 1987 og solgt som Saab&#8217;s innstegsmodell. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Om bildene<\/h3>\n<p>Den beige bilen er en tidlig modell. Den har sannsynligvis en 1.7 liter Triumph-motor p\u00e5 85 hester. Bilene fra f\u00f8r 1970 er ganske sjeldne. Bildene er tatt ved den gamle hangarbebyggelsen p\u00e5 Fornebu. Den gr\u00f8nne bilen er trolig registrert mellom 1976-1978. Den sto utstilt foran bilverkstedet p\u00e5 Wattenberg, Skien 2026. Den hvite bilen er en 1980-modell. Stripen p\u00e5 siden stammer fra en tredjeparts rekvisita-butikk som solgte disse til flere modeller p\u00e5 80-tallet. Legg merke til lettmetalls-felgene som var standard for toppmodellen EMS.
