Modellen som ble lansert som 1971-modell hadde egentlig ingen forgjengere. P\u00e5 60-tallet besto Citro\u00ebn av kun to plattformer, 2CV og DS. Alle modellene var basert p\u00e5 en av de to. GS var p\u00e5 alle m\u00e5ter en ekte Citro\u00ebn &#8211; med luftavkj\u00f8lte boksermotorer, hydropneumatisk fj\u00e6ring og futuristisk form. Den lysebl\u00e5 er en GS X1. Den har 1015 ccm motor men er mer sportslig utstyrt, blant annet med runde klokker i instrumentbordet. Den lysebrune\/beige bilen med spanske skilter deltok p\u00e5 Citronnades-2024 i Sainte-Marie-la-Mer. Stasjonsvogna GS Break sto gateparkert i C\u00e9ret, Frankrike. Den var i d\u00e5rlig forfatning. Likevel fikk den egen modellbetegnelse da den ble introdusert i 1979. GSA har nemlig en stor fordel i forhold til GS. Den har bakd\u00f8r s\u00e5nn at den ble en fullverdig kombi-coup\u00e9.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nJeg har kj\u00f8rt Citroen GSA &#8211; og husker det godt. En eldre nabo &#8211; minst like bilentusiast som meg selv &#8211; hadde byttet ut sin lysebl\u00e5 GS med en splitter ny GSA &#8211; gr\u00e5bl\u00e5 metallic. Ved flere anledninger fikk jeg kj\u00f8re bilen. Jeg husker den s\u00e6regne, godt dempede lyden av boksermotoren. Bremsene som tok med en gang man touch&#8217;et pedalen. Jeg husker at jeg satt godt i f\u00f8rersetet, hadde veldig god oversikt og opplevde at bilen var morsom \u00e5 kj\u00f8re. Motoriseringen var 1,3 liter, 65 hester luftavkj\u00f8lt boksermotor og 4-trinns kasse. Den f\u00f8ltes ikke undermotorisert. Jeg husker hvordan den l\u00e5 p\u00e5 veien. Den norskregistrerte GSA&#8217;en fotograferte jeg under Cars og coffee p\u00e5 \u00d8vrevoll utenfor Oslo. Den ene hvite GSA X1 er fotografert p\u00e5 et biltreff i Perpignan, 2023. Den andre hvite GSA er fotografert b\u00e5de i C\u00e9ret og mens den sto utstilt p\u00e5 Citroennades-2024.
