Spider solgte faktisk ganske godt p\u00e5 slutten av livsl\u00f8pet. Mange av bilene gikk til USA &#8211; og er fremdeles p\u00e5 veien.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Modellhistorikk<\/h3>\n<p>Alfa Romeo Spider ble produsert i 4 serier. Alle bilene hadde st\u00e5ende pedaler og h\u00f8yt plassert girspak. De ulike seriene kjennetegnes ved sine bakparter. Den f\u00f8rste serien hadde et avrundet bakparti som ofte omtales som &laquo;round tail&raquo; eller &laquo;boat tail&raquo;. Serie 2 fikk et rett bakparti som omtales som &laquo;kamm tail&raquo; &#8211; etter bildesigneren som oppfant det aerodynamiske kamm-designet. En tredje versjon omtales ogs\u00e5 som &laquo;duck tail&raquo; fordi den fikk en liten andestjert bak.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDe forskjellige seriene ble produsert i f\u00f8lgende sekvens:<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n1966-1969: Serie 1<br \/>\n1970-1982: Serie 2<br \/>\n1983-1989: Serie 3<br \/>\n1990-1994: Serie 4<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nSpider-modellen ble l\u00f8pende oppgradert fra andre modeller (GT og Guilia) gjennom \u00e5rene den var i produksjon. De f\u00f8rste motorene var 1.3, 1.6 og 1.8. Senere ble motorprogrammet utvidet med en 2.0 liters motor &#8211; alle twin cam motorer. Fra besto var kun 1.6 og 2.0 tilgjengelige.
