Forskjellene fra 997 omfatter st\u00f8rre og videre plattform. Akselavstanden, for eksempel, er \u00f8kt med 100 mm. Bilens lengde er \u00f8kt med 56 mm. Sporvidde foran er \u00f8kt med 46 mm for Carrera og 52 mm for S. Standardhjul er 19 tommer for Carrera og 20 tommer for S. \u00d8kt akselavstand, store hjul og litt mindre overheng gj\u00f8r at 991 ser mye bedre ut, sammenlignet med tidligere modeller. Men jammen er det vanskelig \u00e5 oppdage hvilken type 911 man har foran seg, kun ved \u00e5 studere \u00e9n bil! Type 991.1 ble produsert mellom 2012 og 2015 og fikk da en facelift. Pre-facelift modellen kalles 991.1 &#8211; etter facelift: <a href=\"https:\/\/terjebjornstad.com\/no\/2016-porsche-911-991-2\/\">991.2<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tebh2\">Turbo vs. non-turbo<\/h3>\n<p>Faceliftede 991 fikk nye motorer. Mindre slagvolum, naturlig aspirerende motorer ble erstattet med turbo, bedre ytelser, mindre forbruk, &#8211; men flere modeller fikk ogs\u00e5 annen motorkarakteristikk. Mens for eksempel 991.1 GTS kunne dras opp i turtall med godt skyv i nesten hele turtallsregisteret, ville 992.2 eiere oppleve \u00e5 utnytte dreiemomentet i et snevrere turtallsomr\u00e5de &#8211; s\u00e5nn vi kjenner fra moderne turbo-biler.
